Frequently asked questions
What would be the cost of shipping the painting?
Shipping is included on all domestic orders, except those over 48 inches on either side. Paintings over 48 inches will need to be crated or rolled and shipped at collectors expense.
Please contact me if you’re interested in an oversized piece.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, all through Paypal and Stripe. Debits are accepted if they have the Mastercard or Visa logos.
What happens if the painting arrives and it’s not what I expected?
I make every effort to photograph my paintings as accurately as possible, but colors can vary on different browsers, so please view my shop on multiple screens before deciding on a painting.
In addition, don’t hesitate to reach out to me should I be of help in the selection process. I would be happy to send you additional views of the paintings or have a video chat. And if you are in Santa Barbara, please consider a visit to see the paintings in person- I am fully vaccinated.
All things considered, I want my collectors to be happy with the piece they have chosen. If they are not, the expectation is they will email me within two days of the paintings arrival to discuss how to proceed.
Returns may be accepted at my discretion and return packing and shipping costs will be at the collectors expense.
Will you ship internationally (outside the U.S.)?
Unfortunately not widely at this time. As a relatively new artist with a brand new web site, for now I’m focusing on domestic. However, if a painting catches your eye, please reach out to me to see what can be arranged.
How soon after my order will I receive my painting?
Once a painting is ordered it will be packed and shipped within 7 days. Shipping transit times will depend on your location, but upon request I would be happy to give you an estimated arrival date along with a tracking number.
What should I do if the painting arrives damaged?
All paintings are wrapped and packed with exceptional care so as to not get damaged during shipment. On the off chance your painting is damaged in transit, please email me within 2 days of the paintings arrival. In the email please attach pictures of the damaged box and painting along with the packing slip. And I’ll be in touch as quickly as possible.
Who owns the artwork once purchased?
The collector owns the painting, but as the artist I retain the right to make reproductions of my sold art. Collectors may not reproduce my art without written permission.
Should I frame my painting?
If the canvas is gallery wrapped (mine are) and the sides appeal to you, then hang the painting unframed if you like.
If you’re unsure, it may be helpful to know that some collectors prefer to frame the paintings with sides narrower than 1 inch. And since most of my paintings are at least 1.5 inches deep they look terrific unframed.
Another thing to note is that currently I bring the art onto the sides of the painting, whereas my early pieces the sides are painted white.
Painting details
Paintings come wired and ready to hang.
All pieces are varnished to protect from dust, UV rays, and yellowing and also to bring out their vibrancy of the colors.
I typically initial the front lower right hand corner of my paintings and on the back of the canvas I sign, date and write the title.
Each painting comes with a certificate of authenticity along with a little token of thanks.
